Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S officially arrives in the Philippines | News and Reviews

Another mid-range smartphone is arriving in the Philippines in the form of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S. With a bigger display and an improved design, the smartphone will initially make its way to the Philippines via Lazada.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S comes with a 6.67-inch FullHD+ IPS display with Gorilla Glass 5. Instead of a notch, the smartphone now comes with a punch-hole display to get on with the times. Peeking out of the display is its 16MP f/2.5 front-facing camera.

The device sports a quad camera setup led by a 48MP f/1.8 main camera powered by an ISOCELL GM2 sensor. Its other cameras are an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide, a 5MP f/2.4 macro, and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. There’s also an LED flash just below the square camera bump.

Inside is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. It runs on a 5,020mAh battery with 18W Fast Charging as well as Android 10 with MIUI 11. As an additional layer of security, the brand has added a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
