AMD Ryzen 5000 series arrives in PH, prices start at PhP 16,550
Announced last month, the AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors have officially arrived in the Philippines. Packing the latest Zen 3 architecture from AMD, the Ryzen 9 5950X, Ryzen 9 5900X, Ryzen 7 5800X, and Ryzen 5 5600X will offer up to 19% improved IPC compared to previous Ryzen processors.
All four processors are based on an optimized 7nm lithography from the previous generation of Ryzen processors. AMD is bragging that these new Ryzen 5000 processors will have up to 24% better power efficiency compared to the competing processors.
While these new batch of processors from AMD do have a new architecture, they won’t be needing a new platform as they will still be using the AM4 socket. AMD partner AIBs are expected to ship out new BIOS for their X570 and B550 motherboards upon launch while 400 series motherboards will be receiving beta BIOS updates starting January next year.
