France is introducing identification cards to the phone this summertime, with the state embracing them as the state moves at a glacial pace toward U.S. implementation. Identification cards are a well-known application in France in place of visas and driving licenses. Without necessarily needing the different official papers in their life, about 25 million people use them as a form of state identity in the nation. The French government is currently working to make the modern version of the identification cards accessible via the phone. France Identite, identified by Consomac, confirmed via X that the ID cards may be going online and will soon be accessible on mobile devices. 13, The present strategy is to make it accessible through an app called France Identite in time for summer getaways. Although Apple Wallet does help online IDs, it’s not clear whether the France Identite system may work with it or been entirely independent. Some different states have pledged to include digital IDs in Apple Wallet, but they haven’t already done so. While Europe has been working on a basic framework for the continent for years, it is also trying to do so. The EU Digital Identity aims to serve as a bag for an EU-wide recognized national ID card. However, it has yet to reach the stage for a continent-wide implementation, aside from a few smaller trial projects. It seems like the U.S.’s blanket policy of a digital ID card across the whole continent will take some time to get there. &# 13,
